Hello, let me tell you a little bit about myself and my background. I am a native Philadelphian, and my office is in downtown Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I have been practicing massage therapy and 10 other healing modalities for 27 years. I have been interested and actively involved in Holistic Healing modalities, alternative health, wellness and spiritual practices for over 20 years. I was told at a very young age that I had healing hands.
Complimentary health practices and living holistically are my life style and not just a hobby.
In June 1992, I graduated from Owens Institute of Massage & Holistic Sciences in Media Pa., where I was certified in Scientific Swedish Massage and Foot Reflexology. I joined ABMP in 1992 and I am an Associated Bodywork & Massage Professional Certified Bodywork Therapist, Certified Reiki Master and a Certified Foot Reflexologist. I am also a Pennsylvania Licensed Massage therapist.
For two years, after graduating I was on call for eight different businesses here in the city, which included four 4 star hotels, 2 health clubs, and two estheticians. I was also doing house calls as I was building my own clientele. At that time the businesses did not have enough work to have me on full time. After this experience, I wanted to open my own business, I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit.
In 1994, I opened my first private practice office. Following my initial training, I continued to study healing modalities that include Cranioscaral therapy in 1995 and Lymph drainage in 1996 through the Upledger Institute of Florida. In 1995 I received my certification in Usui Reiki 1 and in 1998 received certifications in Usui Reiki 2 &3.
In 1996, I studied Chinese medical theory with an Oriental Medical Doctor from Shanghai China. I also trained privately with an Acupuncturist in specific Chinese herbs and moxibustion. I am self taught in aromatherapy and acupressure. In 2010 I trained in Polarity and Nerve mobilization. In 2012 I studied Active Isolated Stretching. I am trained in prenatal and fertility massage. In 2016 I trained in Gua Sha therapy with a Chiropractor.
In 1997, I became a certified hospice volunteer for the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia and continued to donate my Reiki and Foot reflexology to hospice patients until 2001. At the same time I also volunteered at various projects for Philadelphia Cares and the Philadelphia Horticulture Society. In 2005, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from The University of Phoenix. Every two years I do 24 hours of continuing education, I love learning and I love my work. In 27 years of practice, my running total of hours of bodywork, that I have completed is now at 35 thousand and counting.
I Had the good fortune to work with clients that were connected with these major motion pictures.
